Analyst interviews ask you to be careful with language. A number without a definition is not an insight, and a chart without a decision is not an analysis.
Start with the definition
When you practice a metric, say the numerator, the denominator or population, the time window, and one way the number could be misleading. If you cannot do that, do not put the metric in your introduction.
SQL as an explanation
You may be asked to talk through a query or to write one. In either case, narrate the grain of the data, the join, and the filter before you worry about style. The SQL guide on this site is the longer version of that habit.
Stakeholder questions
Prepare one example where someone asked for a number that would have answered the wrong question. Say how you reframed it. That story is more informative than a list of dashboard tools.
