Interview questions repeat because the underlying task repeats: can you explain your work, your decisions, and your limits to a stranger on a schedule. Collecting questions is useful. Reciting answers is usually not.
Four types to separate
- Introduction questions, which need a short map of who you are for this role.
- Resume questions, which need proof for the strongest lines on the page.
- Behavioral questions, which need a story with your actions in the middle.
- Role questions, which need the vocabulary of the job without hiding behind it.
How to practice a question
Write the facts you are allowed to use: the project, your part, the result you can defend. Say the answer once without notes. Then cut anything that does not help the listener. If a follow-up would embarrass you, that line is not ready.
