Course projects count when you can explain the constraint and your decision. A placement process is still a series of conversations. Read the freshers guide, then practice one project out loud.
If you are changing roles
Translate the old work into the new role’s tasks without retitling yourself. A finance analyst who wants a data role should talk about the analysis, the data, and the decision, not about a title they have not held.
