A fresher interview is not a demand that you already have a career. It is a demand that you can explain the work you have done, including work that happened in a classroom or a short internship.
Use the proof you have
- A final-year or course project with a user, even if the user was a classmate or a campus office.
- An internship task you can bound: what you were given, what you returned.
- A lab, paper, or club role where you made a decision someone else relied on.
Stay accurate about the scale
Do not describe a class project as a production system. Say who used it and for how long. Interviewers who hire graduates have heard inflated versions. A precise small story is stronger than a vague large one.
What to practice first
Start with a recruiter introduction, then one project deep-dive, then a behavioral story about a mistake or a disagreement in a team project. That sequence covers the rounds most placement processes actually use, without claiming to copy a campus drive.
